YouTube Video is now LIVE 🎉

Hello there people of the internet! I’m Ross and I’m very happy to say that the YouTube video I’ve been working on for the past few weeks - between filming and editing - is now LIVE on YouTube. YAY.

So here it is:

TikTok Videos Into Easter Eggs

Are you interested in hearing me talk crap about the video? Or do you just want to watch it? Or both? Well either way, I guess I’ll talk about it.

Not gonna lie, I am really happy with how it’s turned out. I think it might be a little boring when the TikTok videos are playing over the time lapse? At least that bit feels like it’s more boring and dragged out. But I don’t know if that’s because I’ve seen it all soooooo many times by now that it’s hard for me to accurately judge, or whether it actually is a bit shit. Sometimes I’m too close to this to judge.

I guess it was always going to be hard using vertical TikTok videos for a YouTube video, and it was hard trying to control the pace or keep it interesting.

I'm happy with the work that went into it all though. I haven’t edited a YouTube video for AGES. I think my last upload on YouTube was… around 11 months ago apparently. So it did feel nice getting back into editing.

I’m not super great at it, and I do only use iMovies so I’m limited to what I can do on there… but I don’t feel like I have the time to learn something like Premier Pro, so iMovies will have to do.

Besides, I’ll keep learning new things each time and put the work in to just get better.

Honestly though, please feel free to give it a watch and let me know what you think. I am going to try and be more active on YouTube and put the effort in on there as I always forget how much I enjoy editing when I actually sit down and do it.

Just out of all of the content that we do, YouTube is by far the most time consuming. This video probably took… many hours to do between getting the footage, exporting it, editing it and then doing all the other bits.

I need to get a little better at thinking videos through and actually getting the shots needed. Especially if I want to do more “public” ones.

Here’s one for you…

What I want you to do is give us suggestions of WHERE we can pack an order.

So feel free to drop a comment on the YouTube video suggesting a location, and if we pick that location we’ll give you a gift card to spend on the website AND then pack your order for YouTube. How does that sound?

Again, I want to thank all of you for your continued support. Without you lot, we wouldn’t have any Easter eggs to even donate. Although in retrospect, given the way the economic climate is shifting, perhaps £500 was a bad idea.

I’m not going to lie, I think it’s going to be a rough summer for the business. I dare say you’re all aware that the cost of living is on the rise, and if people have less disposable income then businesses like ours will inevitably suffer. We’ve already seen a very noticeable drop off.

I don’t know what the answer is going forward. I know it’s not fucking Clear Pay and Klarna. I should rant about it…

I’m trying not to 🙄

But a part of me hates seeing people posting shit like “We now have Clear Pay” because they’ve seen a drop in sales and are wondering how to bring them back. They know that people are tighter with money so their solution is…

OFFER PEOPLE DEBT

Genius.

Sometimes as a business you have to look at the numbers on the screen and see through those numbers and see ACTUAL REAL PEOPLE behind them. Stop trying to offer people debt in order to buy luxury items when some people are struggling to fill up their car.

And to make a fucking post about it as if you’re helping people out? Come on…

Yes, I’m a little worried about the business going forward. Especially as it’s not just my wage that Teddy Eva pays, but offering people debt, and promoting it, just isn’t the answer.

There… that wasn’t so bad was it? 😂

Anyway…

Yeah… so the YouTube video is live and I’d be super grateful if you could watch it, share it, like it, comment on it, or even print it off and mail it to your nan. I don’t want to guilt trip you or anything, but if this video flops and no one gives a shit it’s going to be real hard to motivate myself to keep going.

But I’ll try…

At least if the kids are in them then they give me an excuse to do them just for us to watch back 😂
