Hello people of the internet! I’m Ross of Teddy Eva Scents. Which - as of today - I’ve now officially been able to say for 5 YEARS!
On December 29th 2019 I took the plunge and decided to start the Instagram accounts - and god knows what else - for Teddy Eva Scents. Obviously we didn’t have a sodding clue what we were doing, but we totally winged it and learned as we go.
I’m not going to do a deep dive into the history of TES - I’ve already done that before…
But I am here to say a massive thank you for everyone who’s supported us over the past 5 years.
15,623 of you have ordered from us in that time, and we’ve somehow had 42,391 orders in the process.
When we started we had absolutely no intention whatsoever to get to where we are now. I probably thought that I’d dick about for a while, people would get bored, I’d lose interest, and then I’d go back to just rambling about parenting and doing silly videos. I mean it’s still quite similar now anyway 😂
Yet here we are.
We’re living proof that if you just knuckle down and genuinely try your best then you stand a chance at doing ok. I mean in my highest of grand hopes for Teddy Eva Scents it was to do something that I loved, be able to balance it with spending time with the family, and make people happier.
As Ella Henderson says “I don't need no money to be filthy rich.”
I think people easily forget that, and it’s something I think about all the time. Like say we somehow grew Teddy Eva Scents into a behemoth of a home fragrance business that competed all the top brands out there. Snap of the fingers and just like that we’re multi-millionaires.
Then what?
The kids wouldn’t give a toss. They just want to spend time with their parents. I dare say running a multi-million pound business takes up a LOT of your time. Don’t get me wrong, part of me would like more money so I could do nicer stuff with it. Kinda like how I see Shaq - he’s always fun to watch with his money.
I’d honestly just give most of it away. Don’t get me wrong, life is still nicer when you have a little bit of luxury in it - we’re a luxury home fragrance brand after all - but it’s also nice giving it to other people to make their days better too.
Speaking of giving stuff away… we’ve added 30 “5 Years of Teddy Eva Scents” clamshells to the website. If you spend over £30 you’ll get one for free. Once they’re gone, they’re gone. So they are a limited edition I guess.
Oh, and the scent will be Starry Night. Cause it’s banging, obviously.
As for me, I guess that’ll do today.
I don’t want to drone on and bore you any more than I already do.
But yeah, just a huge thank you from ALL of us at Teddy Eva Scents for making all of this possible. Here’s to the next 5 years! 🥂
